Sorry to keep you waiting....it takes a litle time, love and tenderness

Now introducing the one and only Crystal....

You know that quiet girl in class that doesn't say much? Have you ever wondered whats on her mind? That girl is ME.. So here is a brief introduction into my life.

My name is Crystal. I was born and raised in Darlington, S.C. and I continue to live there...Yes I have plans and dreams to move away one day! But I have no clue where I should go..do you? I keep dreaming that I will get that big job offer somewhere. I graduated from Mayo High School which is considered to be one of the best schools in the state. When I was there I thought of it as a regular high school and didnt really see the whole hype or difference. Now that Im older and have met other people from different schools, I have to say that Mayo is much better. Plus, when people hear that I went to Mayo, their whole attitude changes and they become interested in me. They're like "So, you're really smart?" No, Im not a straight A student but my grades are good. In my opinion, everyone is smart in his or her own way, everyone expresses it differently. I often wonder if I replied "Darlington High" would they care or show interest?

So enough of that...Today on March 27th 2008 at approximately 3:15 p.m ...Im currently a junior (rising SENIOR) at Coker College. Coker is located in Hartsville, S.C. which is home to the fortune 500 company known as Sonoco. Coker also isnt far from Darlington Raceway also known as "the track too tough to tame," which was also home of the Southern 500 race (many years ago)...Do you get the theme of "home" yet?

Im sitting here in my second "home"=Coker's new library which is technically called the "Library Information Technology Center." I find myself coming in here at least one or twice a day...How sad, I know but its a nice place and I work better there. The library amazes me because I always find or learn something new. Like today I just realized that they are more computers in the back by the cafe. You're like so what? To me that means that I can work better without being distracted by someone walking in, past me or sitting beside me. Not that I don't like people, but I mean have you ever been in the process of typing a paper or something and one person walks in and it just ruins your train of thought? Well that happens to me!

Im a Communications major which is like a big surprise to people. They wonder why since Im so quiet. After 3 years at Coker starting as a Computer Science major, then Political Science, then History with thoughts of Business, I realized that I like Communications way better. Its much more interesting and one thing that doesnt go away is the media, it only changes and gets better. Ive been told that Im a good writer on several occasions, but I dont want to just write all the time. I dont want to sit behind a desk all day stressing to come up with ideas. So what should I do? Last week, I attended the Career Fair at Coker and one of the recruiters said that I have a "good broadcasting voice." So of course my mind has been wondering, should I consider that field based on one compliment? Maybe he was just being nice, because he obviously does not know me!

I guess this is the end of my blog...I cant believe I wrote this much. I guess once I get started I cant stop. Remember the Pringles commercial.."Once you pop, you just cant stop." I guess that would refer to me right now. I really hope you enjoyed this blog. Have A Nice Day and thanks for stopping by!
